It was during his younger days in Lyon that Blo discovered the world of graffiti. He started tagging in the streets of the city as a way to leave his legacy behind.

Every aspect of life is a perfect subject for his ironic style. His paintings question our daily life and explore complex themes such as religion, sex or death from new vantages.

His instinctual paintings oscillate between the abstract and the figurative. Blo often uses spray cans and markers as homage to graffiti, and although all of his work is now done in studios, he has never forgotten the streets - quite the contrary, Blo still actively does graffiti and takes advantage of what he sees as two complementary universes to enhance his style.
